Rally Point, the premier social network for the military community, announced that Paige Arnof-Fenn, CEO of Mavens & Moguls, has joined its advisory board. Arnof-Fenn has held senior marketing roles at Launch Media, and Zipcar. Prior to that she built and grew world-class brands at The Coca-Cola Company and Procter & Gamble. Today, her firm Mavens & Moguls helps startups, nonprofits and global brands like Colgate, Virgin, Microsoft and The New York Times Company attract and engage consumers around the world.

Penny Blaisdell has been appointed to the Massachusetts Hospital Association Clinical Issues Advisory Board as a Patient Advocate representing Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The Council's role is to advise the MHA's Board and staff on the clinical leadership perspective to advance the quality and accountability agenda as it relates to patient care.  The council plays a key role in shaping MHA's positions and strategies as they relate to medical errors, patient safety and regulatory quality oversight. 

Tracy Thomas Boland, partner at management-side labor & employment law firm, Morgan, Brown & Joy, LLP, spoke at the New England Club Managers Association Education Program on Sept 11 on "MA Pay Equity and Other Employment Law Issues That Keep Managers Up At Night." She also spoke for the New England Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals on Sept 27 and at the Northeast Human Resources Association Annual Conference on Sept 28 on the MA Pay Equity Act.

CohnReznick, one of the leading accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the United States, has announced that Tracy Curley, CPA, has joined the firm as a Partner. Based in the Boston office, Tracy brings more than 25 years of experience providing audit and financial reporting services to companies in both the public and private sectors, with concentrations in technology, life sciences, and renewable energy.

Jodi Detjen is launching an inaugural leadership program for CREW BostonEllen Keiley is one of the speakers. Tailored for experienced women in Real Estate, this program will give women in real estate the tools and confidence to catapult their careers to the senior management level.

The American Society for Clinical Pathology presented its 2017 Member Lifetime Achievement Award to Kathleen "Kay" Doyle, PhD, MASCP, MLS, during its 2017 Annual Meeting in Chicago. The award recognizes Kay's many contributions to the medical laboratory profession and to ASCP throughout her four-decades-long career.  

Janine Petit Greenwood had been elected to the board of the Friends of Reston, the charitable arm of the 60,000 member Reston Virginia homeowners' association. She is also very active with the American Association of University Women and recently joined their Lobbycorps as a volunteer lobbyist to Congress on issues supporting women and families. Janine retired last year after 40 years practicing law.

Angie O'Donnell would like to share that 3D Leadership Group, the leadership development firm that she co-founded, has merged with Cambridge-based Compass Consulting and will continue to operate under the name 3D Leadership Group. Compass Consulting founder Kit Williams will be part of the new, expanded company as a Consultant and Executive Coach.

Carol Sapoznik, received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison ('69). The award recognizes an individual graduate whose career reflects extraordinary accomplishment. Selection is based on the contribution to ones chosen field and record of innovative professional leadership and outstanding record of service to ones community, SoHe, and UW Madison.

Ameeta Soni moderated a panel discussion titled "IoT: Megatrends Driving Business" at TiE StartupCon on October 6.

Anna Thornton
 joined Boston University as a Professor of the Practice in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Anna says, "TBC members and the mentorship program were invaluable in helping me figure out what path I wanted to be on, introducing me to critical players in their networks and encouraging me as I went through the process. I can't thank the group enough."

Vera Tice was a speaker on the executive roundtable at the HealthTech Venture Network's "Advancing Ideas in HealthTech" highlighting female entrepreneurship in the healthtech field on October 7. She will also be a keynote speaker, on the "Future of Digital Health and Care Delivery"at Boston University's Questrom School of Business' 2017 Health and Life Sciences Conference on October 27. And finally, as an invited guest faculty member, she will be giving a workshop on "Extrovert or Quiet Leader: Strategies to Maximize Success for Different Personalities and Leadership Styles" at Harvard Medical School's Career Advancement and Leadership Skills for Women in Healthcare course November 2-4.

Toni Wolfman, Co-Chair of the Thirty Percent Coalition's Public Sector Initiatives, and The Boston Club's representative to the Coalition, was a signer on its recent letter to the SEC urging it to support enhanced proxy disclosure of diversity on corporate boards. Despite encouraging actions taken by some state legislatures and institutional investors to require disclosure, many public companies still ignore the growing call for better governance through transparency in board composition.
