Information about the Corporate Salute on Tuesday, December 5 at Pwc in Boston featuring Sandra J. Horning, MD (Headshot) and David Schenkein, MD (headshot)

We can't wait for you to join us - in person or virtually - for one of The Boston Club's signature event - our annual Corporate Salute! This year's power-packed, hybrid event will take place on December 5, 2023. The theme of the Corporate Salute is Passion, Purpose, Breaking Barriers: A Conversation on Innovation and Breaking Barriers in Medicine and Biotechnology. We will celebrate the extraordinary impact of diverse women across business sectors, particularly in the health care and biotech industry.

We are thrilled that Noubar Afeyan, Co-Founder and Chairman of Moderna Therapeutics, will deliver special remarks for our audience. The program will feature an in-depth conversation between Sandra J. Horning, MD, retired Chief Medical Officer of Roche Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors at Moderna, Inc., and David Schenkein, MD, General Partner and Co-head of Life Science at GV and Chair of the Board of Directors of Agios Pharmaceuticals. They will focus on Dr. Horning's amazing professional journey and the passion with which she pursued her goals.

In addition to the engaging conversation between Drs. Horning and Schenkein, we will share the results of the 2023 Census of Women Directors and Executive Officers in Massachusetts’ Public Companies. And we will present the 2023 Women in Business Racial Equity Awards to two entrepreneurs making an impact in diversity, equity, and inclusion in our community.

Sponsors of The Boston Club’s Salute affirm their commitment to advancing women to senior leadership positions, and to supporting our work to ensure that more women are appointed to corporate boards. This event is eagerly anticipated by those corporations that recognize and reward the unique ways that women contribute to furthering and advancing the communities they serve within New England. For information on sponsorship and benefits, please email [email protected].

All registration is now CLOSED. Any questions about your participation? Please email [email protected].
